The owner has selected a Construction Manager. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. Construction Manager Services for a new facility to replace the current Community-University Health Care Center, located near the Twin Cities campus. The University of Minnesota is requesting Construction Manager at Risk (CMaR) services to participate in the new construction of CUHCC (located at 2001 Bloomington Ave). CUHCC is a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC) within the University's Office of Academic Clinical Affairs (OACA). Deadline for RFP Questions October 16, 2024 at Noon The University requires the Project to be substantially complete by no later than December 31, 2027. The University would like to occupy the new building no later than August 2027, but as early as May 2027 pending schedule feedback from the selected Respondent and final dates are subject to further confirmation based on material procurement and lead times. The Project will include construction of a new clinic, approximately 39,000SF with AHU/Air Cooled Chillers and Rooftop PV System. - We will continue to analyze geothermal as an alternate system in SD. o Scope of the project includes the removal of the existing clinic building and reconstruction of the site. o The existing clinic will remain in service until the completion of the new clinic and program transition, note the infrastructure requirements due to the overlap of two facilities operating simultaneously on site. o Scope of the project includes the installation of the fiber pathway, network cabling and power infrastructure to support the new clinic. o The selected Respondent will assist the design team in further analyzing the building configuration / construction methodologies/materials to maximize building efficiency and cost as possible.
