Separate contracts will be awarded for General Construction, Electrical Construction, Plumbing Construction, and HVAC Construction pursuant to New York General Municipal Law 101. NATURE OF PROJECT: The project consists of comprehensive Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrades and upgrades to the main pump station. Separate contracts will be awarded for General Construction, Electrical Construction, Plumbing Construction, and HVAC Construction pursuant to New York General Municipal Law 101. Question Acceptance Deadline 05/07/2024 05:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % A. Work Included: Upgrading the Tivoli, New York Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) and Pump Station (PS) including, but not limited to, the major work described below and all related appurtenances. B. Summary of Major Work Elements: 1. Construction of: a. Packaged Influent Flowmeter Manhole with Parshall flume; b. Headworks Structure with influent mechanical fine screen, manual bar rack c. Aerated Grit Chamber within the Headworks Structure with aerated grit blowers, aerated grit coarse bubble diffuser system d. Sequencing Batch Reactor Tanks including submersible mixers, aeration blowers, effluent decanters, aeration diffuser grids, submersible waste activated sludge pumps; e. Effluent Equalization Tanks including dividing slide gate, and effluent equalization pumps; f. Process Building including Electrical Room, Chemical Room, and Process Room; g. Tertiary Disk Filter system including packaged metal disk filter units, and backwash pumps; h. Coagulant chemical feed system including chemical feed pumps and chemical storage; i. Ultraviolet (UV) disinfection units within the Process Building; j. Post Aeration system including post aeration blowers, and fine bubble diffuser system; k. Sludge Mixing system including sludge mixing blower (within Process Building), and coarse bubble diffuser mixing system; l. Sludge Decant system including submersible decant pump, and portable davit crane; m. Filtrate Pump Station include precast concrete pump station structure, and submersible filtrate pumps; n. New emergency standby generator system and automatic transfer switch for the WWTF; o. Sewer Pump Station including precast concrete pump station structure, submersible pumps, control panel, and emergency standby generator system; p. Piping, site work, equipment systems, structures, HVAC, plumbing, instrumentation, control, communications, and electrical systems (including a new 480V, 3O electrical service), as indicated on the Drawings. q. Other appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. 2. Demolition of: a. Influent Screening Chamber; b. Grit Removal Chambers; c. Primary Clarifier Structure; d. Rotating Biological Contactors (RBCs); e. Secondary Clarifier Structure; f. Sand Filters and Disinfection Tanks; g. Equalization Tanks; h. Sludge ReedBeds; i. Pump Station including pump house building, equipment, piping, and internal appurtenances; j. Piping and conduit, as indicated on the Drawings; k. Other removals/demolitions as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. 3. Renovation of: a. Post Aeration Tank Structure; b. Imhoff Tank (Future Sludge Storage Tank) Structure; c. Piping and appurtenances; d. Control Building e. Other renovations as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. 4. Maintain plant flow and treatment processes as detailed in Part 3 of this section. 5. Remove and/or relocate equipment as indicated on the Drawings. C. Removals, Relocations and Rearrangements 1. Removal and disposal of the material contained within the ReedBeds (Sludge Drying Beds). Contractor responsible for testing and disposing of all material in accordance with applicable local, State, and Federal regulations. 2. Examine the existing site for the work of all trades which will influence the cost of the work under the bid. This work shall include removals, relocations and rearrangements which may interfere with, disturb or complicate the performance of the work under the bid involving systems, equipment and related service lines, which shall continue to be utilized as part of the finished project. The Contractor is responsible for all coordination in this regard. 3. Provide in the bid a sufficient amount to include all removals, relocations, rearrangements and reconnections herein specified, necessary or required to provide approved operation and coordination of the combined new and existing systems and equipment.
