The Micro surfacing is a Service That Includes but Not Limited to the Installation and Application of Latex Modified, Asphalt Surfacing Wear Course, the Application of New Pavement Striping and Markings. The City of Naperville is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors to supply labor, equipment, supplies and material associated with the 2024 Microsurfacing Pavement Maintenance. The proposed project is part of the city's annual street maintenance program. Micro-surfacing involves the installation of a thin, latex modified, asphalt wearing course. The application will be placed in two lifts, generally on consecutive days, with the combined thickness of approximately 3/8". New striping and pavement markings will be applied to the finished surface within a couple of weeks. All questions concerning this bid shall be submitted in writing at least five business days prior to the online bid opening to Carla Soria at soriac@naperville.il.us. The deadline for questions is March 13, 2024 by 12:00 p.m. If required, a written response in the form of an addendum will be issued. No contact with the City Engineer, Transportation, Engineering and Development Business Group shall be made during the bid process. Questions asked after the deadline are not guaranteed a response.
