Since its construction in 1909, Building 604 Central Power Plant has been an integral part of the West Point Garrison. Its function is to provide steam to many of the buildings located within the cantonment area of West Point. Throughout its life span, the Central Power Plant has gone through many renovations, with its most recent one in 1993. Now, the building has a number of deficiencies that need remediation. These deficiencies include roof leaks, holes in the building envelope, HVAC issues, and more The scope includes the Renovation of Central Plant (Bldg. 604) and incidental related work as enumerated on the Project Drawings and in the Project Specifications. The intent of the project is to renovate the facility in preparation for the eventual modernization study.
