The intent of this project is to remove 2 existing boilers and replace with 2 high pressure boilers Basis of Award: The Town intends to award the bid to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total lump sum cost. Requirements: 1. Complete demolition of the existing boilers, brick fire boxes, burners, flues, expansion tanks, hot water supply and return piping, and oil supply piping. 2. Demolition of all boiler electrical circuits back to circuit boxes or approved junction boxes. 3. Rigging and proper disposal of all debris. 4. Rigging and installation of 2 scotch marine boilers equal to the BTU output of existing HB Smith 450 MILS boilers (contractor must verify). 5. All equipment including boilers are to be mounted on 51/2 inch wire reinforced concrete pads and doweled to the floor in at least 4 locations per pad. This is in addition to any manufacturer required or suggested mounting or pads. 6. Supply and install new Hot Water Supply and Return piping from the boilers to the boiler room headers with new isolation gate valves for each boiler.
