Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
General Nature of the Public Improvement This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation, and labor needed to complete the improvements as follows: Soldier Creek Rehabilitation Work included in this project includes clearing and grubbing; excavating and grading of a modified stream channel to increase sinuosity; filling and grading of the former stream channel; excavating and grading a drainage swale; excavating and grading an oxbow; removal and replacement of culverts and field tiles; stream bank stabilization; installation of stream stabilization best management practices including rock riffles, J-hooks and cross vanes; conventional seeding and hydroseeding; and installation, maintenance and removal of erosion and sediment control devices. Soldier Creek Trail and Bridge Work included in this project includes excavation and grading of a new trail path; subgrade preparation; paving of new trail; installation of detectable warnings; connection of new trail to existing trail; installation of a pre-engineered steel truss bridge and handrail, including piles and footings; bridge wing armoring; conventional seeding; traffic control; and installation, maintenance and removal of erosion and sediment control devices.
