Project Category Code: Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) Description: PROJECT SCOPE The HVAC renovations at the 2-story Lamb-Steele Building includes the following: 1. Demolition: The existing HVAC equipment will be removed including boilers, air handlers, condensing units, roof exhaust fans, VAV boxes and pneumatic controls. Some ductwork and hydronic piping will need to be removed to accommodate the new system. Minor electrical demolition will also be required. 2. New HVAC System: New furnaces, condensing units, rooftop units and roof exhaust fans will provide heating, cooling, and ventilation. The garage will have a new gas unit heater and CO/NO2 detection and purge system. New ductwork, GRDs, volume dampers, etc. will be required as shown. Minor new electrical circuits will be required as shown. 3. Special Construction Schedule Note: The lower level of this facility serves essential services including emergency dispatch, police and EMS. These services will need to continue to be operational during construction, which may require phasing and/or special considerations, however the work can be performed during normal business hours. Late bids will not be considered or accepted. Bids may be U.S. Mailed or delivered in person. The bids will be tabulated and released publicly within 5 business days. A tabulation of bids will be provided to all registered bidders that submitted a bid. All substitution requests and RFIs must be submitted no later than Wednesday, March 27, 2023, at 5:00 PM. BIDDER agrees that the project will be substantially complete on or before September 6th, 2024, and ready for occupancy on September 16th, 2024; and final payment in accordance with Article 3 of AIA Document A101 (Agreement) and Article 8 of AIA Document A201 (General Conditions) for the entire project on or before October 11th, 2024.
