The project includes rehabilitation of approximately 4,921 LF of roadway. Roadway rehabilitation work includes the addition of gravel base over the existing pavement structure prior to pulverizing, regrading of gravel base and pulverized pavement, proof roll of roadway base and any required undercut, and placement of new asphaltic pavement and shoulders. Project work also includes driveway grading, and associated erosion control and restoration as indicated in the Construction Plans and Documents. The work is described in detail by the plan sheets titled: 2024 Road Improvements - West Bush Road, Town of Wyocena, Columbia County, Wisconsin and the associated contract documents, including specifications, contained herein. The Contractor may determine the schedule for this work, project shall be completed and ready for final payment on or before September 2nd, 2024 . Once work has started contractor shall have 60 days for substantial completion of project. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
