FY24 Spring Road Improvements Question Deadline: 03/21/2024 at 12:00 PM ET, Questions must be submitted by Noon to the Vendor Discussion section of the online portal in the correct project file. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Labor and Materials Payment Bond and a Performance Bond each in the amount of 100%. 5% Bid Bond required. Full compliance with Federal, State and Municipal Wage Laws is required of all work done for the Town of Barnstable. Prevailing Wages required. OSHA certification required. MBE/WBE 10.4% required. Contractors shall be required to comply with all applicable Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30 S.39M, and other applicable Massachusetts General Laws. The Town of Barnstable reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or waive any formalities that appear to be in the best interest of the Town. The work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all necessary labor, materials and equipment required to perform various roadway improvements on several streets located in the Town of Barnstable, MA. The improvements include reclaiming approximately 440 linear feet of existing pavement on Old Post Road plus milling of existing pavement on parts of Lumbert Mill and Santuit Newtown roads. The repair and/or adjustment of utility structure castings and gate boxes, installing hot mix asphalt leveling and top courses, and applying new thermoplastic pavement markings. The work also requires site preparation, street sweeping, application of asphalt tack coat, construction-related safety signage, minor restoration work, and all other related activities whatsoever required to complete the roadway improvements as specified herein and as directed by the Engineer.
