Demolition and site work for a residential development in New Lenox, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The proposed project will consist of demolition and removal of 1 commercial structure and 3 residential structures including foundations and flatwork and filling voids with CA-7 and CA-6. PROJECT LOCATIONS 105 E. Haven Ave., 109 E. Haven Ave., 113/115 E. Haven Ave. New Lenox, IL 60451 The Village of New Lenox reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities in bidding. If you have any questions, please call 815-215-4800. Notice of Award Issued April 9, 2024 Final Completion (no later than) June 14, 2024 Bids must be submitted on the attached bid form only. Any bids submitted on forms which contain additional or different forms and conditions than those contained herein may, at the option of Owner, be considered non-responsive and be rejected for that reason alone. Any terms inconsistent herewith contained in Bidder's proposal shall be and are hereby rejected. The bid form shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee bond provided by a guarantee company, authorized to conduct business in the State of Illinois, or alternatively, by a certified or cashier's check payable to the Village of New Lenox in the sum of at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid price. The bid guarantee bond shall be provided on the form included below, in this project document. The amount payable to the Village under the bid guarantee bond and/or the certified or cashier's check, and the amount thereof, shall be forfeited to the Village as liquidated damages in case of a failure or neglect of the bidder to furnish, execute, and deliver to the Village the required performance and payment bonds, evidence of insurance, and to enter into, execute, and deliver to the Village the Agreement on the form provided herewith, within ten (10) calendar days after receiving written notice from the Village that the award has been made and the Agreement is ready for execution. The bid securities of the three lowest bidders will be retained until the Agreement is signed, evidence of insurance provided, and satisfactory bonds furnished or other disposition made thereof. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time or changes in the work and to negotiate contract terms with the successful Bidder and the right to disregard all nonconforming, unbalanced or conditional bids. Also, Owner reserves the right to reject the bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by Owner. The bid securities of all bidders except the three lowest, responsive bids will be allowed to expire or returned within twenty (20) calendar days after the bids are opened. F. By submitting a bid, the Bidder understands and agrees that if the Bidder fails to enter into a Contract forthwith, Bidder shall be liable to Owner for any damages they may suffer thereby. G. Bidder will submit, completed, with this bid, the 3-page Responsible Bidder Affidavit that is provided with this bid packet. No interpretation of the meaning of the drawings, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any Bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be made in writing, addressed to the Village of New Lenox, 2401 Ellis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451, Attention: Brian Williams, or emailed to bwilliams@newlenox.net to be given consideration. Requests must be received at least seven days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Any addenda will be issued six days from the bid opening to contractors that have picked up a bid package and have filled in the bid package pick-up form or requested an emailed bid package. Any contractors that have downloaded a copy of the bid package on-line must submit their contact information via email to the Operations Director, Brian Williams, at the abovementioned email address or they will not receive any addenda. B. Any and all such interpretation and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda which, if issued, will be emailed to all parties recorded as having received bidding documents (at the respective email address furnished for such purposes) prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Addenda may also be issued to modify the bidding documents as deemed advisable by the OWNER.
