Renovation of a swimming pool in Crescent City, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.

Description: The work includes the furnishing of the labor, materials, and equipment for a Base Bid Scope, and Bid Additives 1-3. The base bid is for conventional boiler replacements, and AHU 1 and 2 replacements with dehumidification AHU's. On the base bid the boilers remain on separate systems. Bid Additive 1 is for condensing boilers, that integrate the Spa, Pool, Building Air, and Domestic Hot Water onto a redundant boiler system. Bid Additive 2 is for the replacement of two electric motors with premium inverter duty motors powered by new Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controllers. , Bid Additive 3 is for the various repairs to the building envelope per sheet A-101, all in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The project is located at the Fred Endert Pool at 1000 Play Street; Crescent City, CA 95531. Special Requirements: Bidders must correctly prepare and submit the documents listed in Section 00 40 00, Bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty bond, or a certified or cashier's check payable to the order of the Owner in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid as a guaranty that the bidder will execute the contract if it is awarded in conformity with the bid form. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price in the form provided herein. At the successful Bidder's option, securities may be substituted for the required retention, in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the California Public Contract Code. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which bid is, in the Owner's judgment, the lowest responsive bid. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any immaterial deviations in any bid and to delete items listed in the bid. Bids received after the time established for receiving bids will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Except as provided in paragraph 00 20 00-1.04(A), no bidder may withdraw his or her bid after the time established for receiving bids or before the award and execution of the contract, unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) calendar days. This is a Public Works Project subject to the rate of prevailing wages as established by the California Department of Industrial Relations and the U.S. Department of Labor. Bidders are notified that the State prevailing wage rates shall apply. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations and the U.S. Department of Labor. Full original payrolls must be provided to the City on the WH-347 form as provided in the Labor Compliance Book as well as file or hard copies of DIR weekly payroll reporting. Bidders are hereby notified that pursuant to Section 1773 et seq. of the California Labor Code, the Owner has obtained from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations the general prevailing rate of wages and employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension, and similar purposes for work to be done within Del Norte County, California. Regulations regarding the application of these wage rates are given in paragraph 00 20 00-1.12. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
