Renovation of a municipal facility in Paxton, Massachusetts. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
(1) Removal of the existing exterior entrance door and install new door with battery powered operator. (2) Removal and replacement of interior door and frame with Accessible Interior Fire Door. Appointments to inspect the property and take measurements can be made by emailing bids@townofpaxton.net. The building is open from M-F from 9am to 2pm. If the Bid amount exceeds $50,000, then a Bid Bond or Certified Check, made out to the Town of Paxton in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, shall accompany each bid. A performance bond in the sum of the job cost estimate with a surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and satisfactory to the owner, as surety, will be required of the successful bidder for the faithful performance of the contract and the payment of all labor, materials and equipment used in this work. If the total bid is over $25,000, a Payment Bond in the amount of at least 50% of the contract price shall be required prior to execution of the contract. The contract is meant to be an on-time quote for the work as itemized in the Quote Form and to be completed no later than June 1, 2024, or as otherwise specified. The Contractor shall be required to begin work within thirty (30) days of notification to proceed with the contract, as weather permits.
