Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in San Diego, California. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Installation and commission of a minimum of six hundred fifty-three (653) Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) Level-2 Electric Vehicle Chargers and associated control panels for the Adaptive Load Management System (ALM System) throughout 5 - 8 existing parking structures on Campus (sites to be selected by the University). The Design-Builder shall provide design services and submit design submittals to the University for review. The design submittals shall include 75% Construction Documents, 100% Construction Documents, and final Construction Documents for approval. The Design-Builder shall verify existing Power Distribution System, available power capacities, perform load calculations, understand the load requirements for the chargers and the ALM Systems, and quantify the division of the required number of Level-2 Chargers throughout each site to the University. The Design-Builder shall provide Wheel Stops at the parking stalls to protect the chargers in addition to all Electrical Distribution Equipment, conduits, wires, communications cables, testing and any necessary items to complete the installations. The following design builders have been prequalified to submit proposals on this project: BAKER ELECTRIC & RENEWABLES, LLC DYNALECTRIC COMPANY Requests for clarification or interpretation* of the Request for Proposals are due 12:00P.M., Thursday, August 8, 2024., and shall be addressed only to: Nicole Cheng, Project Manager (nmchengucsd.edu) cc: Eva Lanie Cabreros, Contracts Administrator ecabrerosucsd.edu AND Sonia Silva, Contracts Administrator sosilvaucsd.edu Proposal Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Proposal, excluding alternates, shall accompany each bid. The surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the bid deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in the California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120) The successful proposer will be required to have the following California contractor's license current and active at the time of the proposal opening: ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR, C-10 License and either be teamed with a California licensed Electrical Engineer that meets the specified design-build project requirements, or have a California licensed Electrical Engineer in-house with the ability to meet the specified Design-Build project requirements. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Proposer may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Proposer and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. In addition, the University is committed to promoting and increasing participation of small business enterprises (SBEs) and disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) relating to all goods and services covered under the awarded agreement, subject to any and all applicable obligations under state and federal law, and University policies. The awarded design-builder shall make best efforts to provide qualified SBEs and DVBEs with the maximum opportunity to participate. Maximum Acceptance Cost: $3,350,000 The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
