Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Union City, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The Contractor shall possess a Class A and/or Class C-61 Limited Specialty Subcategory D-34 Prefabricated Equipment Contractor's License California contractor's license at the time this contract is awarded. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. This contract is subject to the State contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code Section 12990. General Work Description: The project consists of replacement of existing play structures and surface at Mariner Park located respectively at Regents Blvd. and Dorado Dr. in the City of Union City, California. The work generally includes the removal of existing play structure and its surrounding surface and installation of a new play structure and surface, and other related work indicated and required by the plans, Standard Specifications, and these special provisions. . The Engineer's Estimate for the project base is Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000). The successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond, a Performance Bond, and a Maintenance Bond. Minimum wage rates for this project as predetermined by the Secretary of Labor are set forth in the special provisions. If there is a difference between the minimum wage rates predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and prevailing wage rates determined by the Department of Industrial Relations for similar classifications of labor, the contractor and his subcontractors shall pay not less than the higher wage rates. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing rate of wages in the county in which the work is to be done has been determined by the Director of the wage rates appear in the Department of Transportation publication entitled General Prevailing Wage Rates, (current semi-annual which have been predetermined and are on file with the Department of Industrial Relations are referenced but not printed in said publication. TIME FOR COMPLETION. The Contractor must complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents within 40 Working Days from the date specified in the Citys Notice to Proceed Questions concerning the project must be submitted to Trieu Tran by e-mail at TrieuT@unioncity.org at least five (5) working days prior to the time specified for the bid opening
