Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. The CPSB Lake Charles Boston Annex - Hurricane Repairs project includes scope associated with hurricane related repairs for the existing buildings on the Lake Charles Boston School campus. Exterior scope includes but is not limited to installation of new roofing systems & accessories, new structural steel, light gauge metal framing, new exterior wall systems, new concrete foundations, replacement of window systems and glazing, and associated accessories to aforementioned systems. Interior scope includes but is not limited to, light gauge metal framing, gypsum wall board, acoustical ceiling systems, insulation, gypsum board ceilings, carpet tile, vinyl composite tile, rubber base, and painting. Scope also includes associated plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems. 2. The Contractor will be responsible for moving all equipment and furniture in rooms/spaces affected by the scope of work. The Owner will provide locations within the building in which this equipment and furniture may be stored while work is occurring. The Contractor shall provide flooring protection as needed for the moving process and for storage. The Contractor shall document any existing damage to the equipment and furniture prior to moving and provide photographs to the Design Team and Owner. All equipment and furniture shall be tagged with the room from which it was moved and reinstalled in that room upon completion of the scope. The Contractor will be responsible for any damage to equipment and furniture which occurs. Contractor to visit site and verify extents of existing furniture, prior to bid Question Deadline 04/21/2026 Every request for such interpretation should be submitted electronically via email. To be given consideration, requests must be RECEIVED at least seven (7) days prior to date fixed for the opening of bids. CPSB Lake Charles Boston Annex - Hurricane Repairs No Bid Shall Be Considered or Accepted Unless the Bid is Accompanied by Bid Security in an Amount Not Less Than Five Percent (5%) of the Base Bid and All Additive Alternates. The Bid Security Shall Be in the Form of Certified Check or Cashiers Check Drawn on a Bank Insured by the Fdic, or on the Calcasieu Parish School Board Bid Bond Form Contained in the Front End Documents Written by a Surety Company Licensed to Do Business in Louisiana With a a.m. Best Rating of a or Better, Countersigned by a Person Who is Under Contract With the Surety Company or Bond Insurer as a Licensed Agent in This State and Who is Residing in This State. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids for Just Cause as Permitted by La. R.s. 38:2214 (B).
