The City of Ottawa is seeking a Contractor to supply, deliver and install up to 6 bulk fill water stations for a pilot. The bulk fill stations will allow water hauling trucks to withdraw water from the City's water distribution system and have a system to track and bill or obtain payment for the water withdrawn. The City of Ottawa is seeking a Contractor to supply, deliver and install up to 6 bulk fill water stations for a pilot. The bulk fill stations will allow water hauling trucks to withdraw water from the City's water distribution system and have a system to track and bill or obtain payment for the water withdrawn. The City will start with six bulk fill stations from one vendor that meets the requirements. The pilot period will be for six to eight months. The pilot will be limited to non-integrated billing, as billing will be done by City staff, following the current processes of billing haulers though the City's SAP system. Installation will include the delivery and connections to the City's water system. Any site preparation and concrete padding will be done by the City in consultation with the Contractor. Hydro and any other utility connections required for the operation of the station will be completed by the Contractor. Once the City has completed the pilot and is satisfied, the City may post a RFP for the expansion and implementation of bulk fill stations across the City. For the purposes of the pilot, the City is looking to have the 6 stations installed and operational by the end of May 2024.
