Duration: 1 year Option: Three (3) optional one (1) year extensions The City of Ottawa, Transit Services Department, hereinafter referred to as the City, has a requirement for qualified contractors to provide all labour, equipment, and materials for the provision of grounds maintenance services at various OC Transpo Transitway Stations & Light Rail Stations. Services include, but are not limited to, litter pick up, grass cutting and trimming bushes, in accordance with the attached terms A performance security will be required from the successful bidder prior to the execution of a contract or the placing of a purchase order. Such performance security may, at the discretion of the City, be either in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Total Tender Price, in the form of cash, a cheque certified by the bank upon which it is drawn, a money order, an irrevocable bank letter of credit with an auto renewal clause OR a Performance Bond and Labour & Material Payment Bond in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Total Tender Price from a surety company authorized by law to carry out business in the Province of Ontario. Such deposits will be retained until completion of the Contract to the satisfaction of the City. The Performance Security may be reduced at various stages of the Project, at the discretion of the City. Commercial General Liability insurance issued on an occurrence basis for an amount of not less than $5,000,000 per occurrence for any negligent acts or omissions by the Contractor. Such insurance shall include, but is not limited to, bodily injury, death and property damage including loss of use: premises, property, and operations liability; products and broad form completed operations liability Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
