This project consists of resurfacing the existing tennis court and basketball court pavement while adding asphalt for new pickleball courts. Work scope includes the installation of a tennis court and pickleball courts, adjusting fence line, additional pavement, pavement repair, and site restoration. Bidders are required to file with their bid a Guaranty Bond in the full amount of the bid or a certified check, a cashier's check, or a letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 10% of the bid. Proposal bonds and certified checks will be returned to all Bidders after the contract has been entered into and secured by a performance bond of 100% of the contract with a satisfactory surety for the faithful performance of the work. The City of Fostoria, Ohio intends to accept the lowest responsible bid for the project but reserves the right to reject any and all, or parts of any or all bids and to waive any minor informalities in any bid, or to make the award in the best interest of the City. However, no request for clarification/information will be accepted after three (3) days before the date on which bids are due. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implantation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Seneca County and the City of Fostoria, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614.644.2239. The Engineer's opinion of probable construction cost is $126,000.
