The Medford Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites bids from qualified licensed Electrical Contractors to perform Emergency & Routine Service calls to repair or replace downed power lines, damaged utility poles, transformers, underground conduit and electrical equipment at our Various family and elderly housing developments in the City of Medford. Documents prepared by the Medford Housing Authority (MHA) and in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30B. Award of contract will be to the responsible and responsive vendor who offers the best price. The Project consists of: On site electrical support in emergency & routine situations to the Medford Housing Authority's power lines, utility poles, transformers, underground conduit, unit & common areas and all related equipment. The contractor shall be required to be on site as scheduled by MHA and must be able to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, within 3 hours if needed. The contract shall be for three (3) years. Bids are subject to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive and federal wage rates established by the Davis Bacon Wage Act and the Secretary of Labor, under the provisions of the Code of Federal Regulations, as amended. This IFB is subject to the provisions of M.G.L. c.30B sec.5. and to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, and the Medford Housing Authority is an equal opportunity employer.
