Medford Barracks Roof Replacement and Envelope Repairs. Estimated Cost $1,123,171 Prevailing wage rates apply on the project in accordance with M.G.L. c. 149, 26 & 27. Category of Work: General Contracting. This project is scheduled for 180 calendar days to substantial completion and in general includes: Scope of work for the project consists of removal and replacement of approximately 6,400 square feet of roofing on four roof areas, replacing a concrete chimney cap, roof monitor siding and soffit replacement, minor masonry repairs, replacement of the cast in place concrete entry ramp and toilet room renovations for accessibility. The General Contractor shall be held directly responsible for the correct installation of all work performed under this Contract. The General Contractor must make good repair, without expense to the Massachusetts State Police, of any part of the new work, or existing work to remain, which may become inoperative on account of leaving the work unprotected or unsupervised during construction the system or which may break or give out in any manner by reason of poor workmanship, defective materials or any lack of space to allow for expansion and contraction of the work during the General Contractor's warranty period, from the date of final acceptance of the work by the Massachusetts State Police.
