PROJECT DESCRIPTION We are embarking on an exciting initiative to revitalize the landscaping along 7000 South in West Jordan, extending our focus to include the medians as well. Our vision is to introduce a fresh and vibrant landscaping design that not only enhances the visual appeal of the area but also contributes to a more sustainable and welcoming environment. For the hillside areas, we are particularly interested in innovative landscaping options that not only address aesthetics but also account for the natural topography. Consideration should be given to erosion control measures while maintaining a visually pleasing and harmonious integration with the surroundings. Given the high traffic volumes in these areas, we prioritize landscaping solutions that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also low maintenance. Durable and resilient plant selections, as well as sustainable irrigation practices, are key aspects we would like to address in the proposed designs. BACKGROUND We aim to enhance the aesthetics of 7000 South by redesigning the park strips and surrounding landscape, creating an inviting city entrance. Historically, rocky features were incorporated on steep slopes, but over time, they have experienced erosion. Our goal is to establish a low-maintenance solution given the high traffic in the area while ensuring a visually appealing entrance to the City. QUESTIONS Questions arising subsequent to the issuance of this RFP, that could have a significant impact on the responses to the RFP, should be submitted in the RFP Question and Answer section Event Number # WJPS24031301 through U3P. All such questions should be received by Wednesday, March 27, 2023 @ 10:00 a.m. MST. Answers to questions will be posted on the U3P which will then email the answer to all Offerors that downloaded the RFP. TERM OF AGREEMENT The successful Consultant may be issued a contract for a period as proposed in the Consultant's project schedule and may include an additional period to allow for final acceptance of the completed related construction project, by the City.
