**As of April 19, 2024, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $779,758.50** The bid shall provide for approximately 37,325 SY of roadway milling and installation of 4,865 tons of HMA 9.5M64 surface course with accessibility improvements at intersections and limited concrete curb removal on Mulberry Street and within the Sturwood Hamlet development, and other associated work as set forth in the specifications. Work will be performed on several roads within the Township and a parking lot in Central Park on Eggert Crossing Road. It is anticipated that a construction contract will be awarded on April 16, 2024, subject to availability of funds in the adopted budget and 2024 Capital Plan. Construction shall commence on or about June 1, 2024. The completion of the project shall be forty-five (45) working days from the date of receipt of the Notice to Proceed. All work must be completed by August 9, 2024. Signed bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Engineering Department with the name of the project printed on the face of the envelope. This work shall consist of the installation, maintenance and removal of traffic control devices to assure the safety of all public traffic on and about the construction site. It is intended that all roads be opened for the duration of the project. If road closure is deemed necessary and approved by the Engineer, the Contractor shall prepare the necessary detour plan for approval. Roadway closure is only permitted between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily. Barricades, drums or signage, if required, shall be installed as directed. Drums to be placed as directed for maintenance and protection of traffic. This work shall consist of the installation of Portland Cement concrete curb at intersections as marked by Engineer to install handicap ramps in locations shown on plans. Limited curb removal will also be marked by Engineer to facilitate proper pavement milling and installation. Saw-cutting of existing concrete curb may be required to provide a straight edge. Face forming is required unless approved by Engineer. If face forming will not be utilized, pavement shall be neatly sawcut prior to removal. Pavement excavation and base installation will be paid under items 3C and 4B. Restoration of the lawn area is included in this item as detailed.
