Site work and paving for a road / highway in Muhlenberg Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of the following Contracts: Contract A - Milling 2" of existing asphalt and installing 2" of Superpave Material on various roads. Contract B - Schuylkill River Trail (SRT) Paving Contract C - Riverside Basin Grant Paving Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Surety Company's Bid Bond on the form provided in the Bid Documents, naming as payee or Obligee, Muhlenberg Township, Berks County in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid submitted. The Surety Company must be acceptable to the Township. No bid may be withdrawn after the above-specified date for receiving, opening, and reading of bids, except as specifically may be provided by law. Wages paid are subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 as amended and supplemented. The Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of 1955, P.L. 744, No. 222, as amended June 25,1997 by Act 34 of 1997, 43 P.S. 951-963, shall apply to this Contract The Contractor and their subcontractors must be pre-qualified by PennDOT for the type of project work specified in order to bid the project. Muhlenberg Township, Berks County, reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items.
