The work under this Invitation for Bids generally consists of, but is not limited to, general contracting services on an as-directed and as-needed time & materials basis for several locations. The Contractor shall furnish and supply all necessary equipment, materials, labor and supervision to perform the required work as specified in the scope of services for (i) Group A: General Carpentry, Painting, Furniture Move and Installation; (ii) Group B: Plumbing Services; and (iii) Group C: Electrical Contracting Services. All work must be in strict conformance with building codes. A bid. Group A: "BC" Building Construction (Non-Operating Railroad Environment) "GC" General Contractor with "SP" - Specialty in General Carpentry, Painting, Furniture Move & Installation. NJ TRANSIT suggests a minimum rating of 'H' ($750,001 to $1,000,000). Group B: "BC" Building Construction (Non-Operating Railroad Environment) "GC" General Contractor with "PB" - Plumbing (copy of license must be attached). NJ TRANSIT suggests a minimum rating of 'E' ($300,001 to $400,000). Group C: "BC" Building Construction (Non-Operating Railroad Environment) "GC" General Contractor with "EE" - Electrical (copy of license must be attached). NJ TRANSIT suggests a minimum rating of 'G' ($500,001 to $750,000). Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, regarding Equal Employment Opportunity Laws and Regulations. NJ TRANSIT further requires that its Contractors agree to take all necessary and responsible steps in accordance with N.J.A.C. 17:13- 1.1 et seq. to ensure that Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (DVOB) have the opportunity to participate in the performance of this contract. In Group A General Carpentry a Ten percent (10%) Category 6 goal; Group B Plumbing and C Electrical a five percent (5%) Category 6 Small Business Enterprises (SBE) / Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (DVOB) Goal has been set for this project.
