George Washington High School & Hilltop High School Pa Upgrades Package 1a, Project. The Project. The Project is generally described as: Public Address System Upgrades including associated cabling, integrated clock-bell devices, wall speakers, exterior speakers and head-end equipment, to upgrade and expand the existing Public Address system coverage and installation of a remote door devise, new central exchange unit and client station at George Washington High School & Hilltop High School. The Estimated construction value of the work is $645,000.00. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of: (a) cash, (b) a certified or cashier's check made payable to the District or (c) an original Bid Bond, in the form and content attached hereto, in favor of the District executed by the Bidder as a principal and a Surety as surety (the "Bid Security") in an amount not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the Total Base Bid. The District has a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise ("DVBE") Participation Goal Program ("the DVBE Program") which establishes a three percent (3%) Participation Goal for DVBEs. All Bidders are required by the District, pursuant to the DVBE Program, to submit DVBE Worksheets that confirm two (2) advertisements were published at least 14 days prior to bid opening. The base bid shall be a lump sum covering the full scope of the work and all related work described in, and shown on, the Contract Documents for the Construction Project, including all labor, materials, transportation, services, taxes, etc., required to complete all the work shown.
