The Board of Wood County Commissioners intends to contract for architectural design services for interior renovations of the Wood County Department of Job and Family Services ("JFS"), located at 1928 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, OH 43402 Statements of qualifications should include information regarding the firm's history; education and experience of key technical personnel; the technical expertise of the firm's current staff; the firm's experience in performing architectural engineering and design; the firm's experience evaluating and designing renovation projects involving similar projects; availability of staff; the firm's equipment and facilities; references; and any previous work performed for Wood County and other public entities As required by Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.65-.73, responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, the Board of Wood County Commissioners will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm. The preliminary project description is as follows: Name of Project: Wood County Department of Job and Family Services - Interior Renovations Location: 1928 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, OH 43402 Description of Project: The County is seeking architectural design services for an interior renovation project at the Wood County Department of Job & Family Services. The renovations will include the construction of eight additional offices, construction of two interview rooms in the Job Store area for consumer confidentiality, division of one large conference room to create three separate conference rooms for trainings, etc., and some limited updates at the front entrance of the building. The work will require interior design, electrical and fire suppression system modifications, and interior HVAC ductwork modifications. Along with the preparation of drawings, the County desires assistance with bid documents, the bidding process, and project management. The interior renovations are necessary due to an increase in the number of staff moving into the building. Additional Required Considerations: Some offices will require confidentiality for consumer and JFS employee discussions; Consideration should be given to safety/security considerations for JFS employees meeting with consumers in the Job Store area; Selected firm will need to provide HVAC load information to the County for work being performed on the HVAC system by another engineer/contractor. County desires this work to be performed quickly due to a business need to have additional staff in the building.
