This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24224B0031, Project Number 526-23-110 Electrical Switchgear Replacement Phase 1 at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx NY 10468. This shall be a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238210 and has a size standard of $19 Million. The Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Scope of Work: The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not limited to the following: Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials and perform all work associated with the Electrical Switchgear Replacement Phase 1 Statement of work. This project is to upgrade the two (2) groups of electrical power circuit breakers (substations MSS1 and MSS2) to new equipment, while maintaining the existing equipment structure; and providing for minimal outages during the transition to the new circuit breakers. The expectation is that the direct replacement circuit breakers will be designed to be inserted into the existing electrical structures, therefore minimizing the outage time to the time required to replace a circuit breaker. Please see the attached Statement of Work. Project Completion: 180 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.sam.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about March 29, 2024. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation to be posted later shall be emailed. Faxed or hand carried bids will not be accepted.
