Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Whycocomagh, Nova Scotia. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for paving for a road / highway.
Proposed improvements include: Gateway treatments. Reconfiguring curb lines at intersections to encourage speed reduction. The possible installation of crosswalks/decorative medians. The addition of sidewalks/active transportation lanes. The possible addition of bike lanes. Landscaping, street lighting, street furniture and placemaking. Necessary storm drainage. Parking analysis. Streetlight analysis and detailed design. TIMELINE: Conceptual design is underway. Detailed design to proceed in fall 2025. Tender and construction timelines are yet to be determined. *Budget is unreleased.
