Site work and paving for a civil project in Hempstead, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
As of April 17, 2024, project was awarded to: Posillico Civil Inc.(9,523,600) Roadwork Ahead Inc (9,523,600), Metro Paving, LLC(9,728,550), with the total awarded amount of $28,471,950. Roadway Pavement Reconstruction of various Town of Hempstead maintained roadways located throughout the Town of Hempstead in unincorporated areas. Improvements to generally include. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Town of Hempstead for not less than five percent (5%) of the estimated amount of the bid. Removal of existing roadway pavement. Fine grading of existing subgrade. Installation of new 4.0" asphalt pavement section. (2.5" binder course ; 1.5" wearing course). Spot curb, driveway apron, and valley gutter replacement to remediate existing surface drainage ponding. Spot storm water drainage structure repairs. New handicap ramps where necessary for A.D.A. compliance. The Town reserves the sole right to renew the Contract. The anticipated funding for 2024 is $10,000,000. Apprenticeship training programs are required for the type and scope of work to be performed. The Town reserves the right to award multiple Contracts. Bidder's must own and operate the asphalt paving equipment to be used for construction. Contract term: 365 Calendar Days
