The South Delta School District is soliciting Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified architectural and engineering firms to provide professional services for the planning and design of educational facilities impacted by the devastating EF-4 tornado that hit Rolling Fork, Mississippi on March 24, 2023. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications is to identify architectural and engineering firms to advance the South Delta School District's efforts to provide high-quality, safe, and inviting facilities supporting the academic, social, emotional, extra-curricular, and co-curricular needs of our students and staff To request a copy of the full RFQ contact: RFQRequest@sdelta.org Please type "REQUESTING AES RFQ" in the subject line. PROJECT SCOPE AND SCHEDULE This is a project for the construction of educational facilities that may include Pre K-12, career and technical education, transportation services, facilities and administration/business offices to be funded by insurance but may require additional federal/state funding sources (FEMA/MEMA). Construction is scheduled to begin following design planning and facilities cost assessment. Lobbying school board members or administration will result in immediate disqualification. Be advised, the fee structure to meet FEMA guidelines requires a fixed fee for contracted services. The South Delta School District is committed to the principle of non-discrimination in public contracting. Therefore, the District requests that prospective vendors and contractors carefully examine their method of selecting subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure that they are not either actively, or passively, discriminating against Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Female Business Enterprises (FBEs). The District may reject any and all Statements of Qualifications and reserves the right to waive any technicalities, irregularities or informalities in any Statements of Qualifications or in the proposed procedure.
