Renovation of an educational facility in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The certified Iowa TSB participation goal for this project is 10 percent (10%) of the Base Bid. Project consists of removal and replacement of Air Handling Unit 9 (AHU9) location in Lower Level 2 of Roy J. Carver Pavilion. Outside air, return air, and supply air ductwork is being removed, replaced, and rerouted. Steam piping and chilled water piping is being removed, replaced, and rerouted. A new steam-to-water heat exchanger and associated pumps shall be installed for a glycol hot water AHU preheat system. A new steam generator shall be provided for AHU humidification. A steam condensate pump shall be provided. New controls shall be provided for the air handing unit. The Mechanical Contractor may be required to attend occasional meetings related to the concurrent Neurology Clinic Expansion project for the purposes of coordinating associated ductwork and installation and start-up timing.
