The proposed project includes the improvement of the street, sidewalks and drainage of Harkey Road and will include the removal of the existing two-lane asphalt roadway pavement, roadside ditches, and associated drainage culverts, utility adjustment, and replacement with a new 4-lane divided boulevard curb and gutter concrete roadway with underground storm sewers. The roadway limits to be reconstructed and widened are from FM 518 to the existing Mary's Creek Bridge - approximately 4,800 feet. This project will also include land acquisition for stormwater detention to mitigate the potential stormwater impact. This project is included in the city’s fy 2025-2028 Capital Improvement Program.
