Project Overview and Scope: Pearland Independent School District ("PISD," "District," "Owner") is seeking Competitive Sealed Proposals from qualified proposers to provide construction services for the Pearland Junior High East and Sam Jamison Middle School Re-Roofing Project located at Pearland Junior High East, 2315 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581, and Sam Jamison Middle School, 2506 Woody Road, Pearland, Texas 77581. The project scope of work consists of re-roofing package 1 and package 2; Pearland Junior High East package consists of full tear-off replacement of existing roofing system, exempting newest additions and including potential existing chill water line adjustments; roof is approximately 119,680 square feet. Sam Jamison Middle School package consists of full tear-off replacement of existing roofing system, exempting newest addition; roof is approximately 91,000 square feet. Estimated Budget: The estimated budget for this project is: Pearland Junior High East: $3,000,000.00. Sam Jamison Middle School: $2,100,000.00. Award/Contract Approval: PISD, IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION, RESERVES THE RIGHT TO AWARD ONE CONTRACT FOR BOTH PACKAGES/PROJECTS OR TO AWARD TWO CONTRACTS (ONE FOR EACH PACKAGE/PROJECT). This procurement, any award(s) under this procurement, and the resulting contract(s), if any, is subject to approval by the PISD Board. Subsequent to required approval, the only person authorized to commit PISD contractually is the Superintendent or his designee. This solicitation is an invitation for sealed proposals and neither this solicitation nor the response or the proposal from any prospective proposer/contractor shall create a contractual relationship that would bind PISD until such time as both PISD and the selected proposer/contractor sign a legally binding contract, which includes, without limitation, the terms required by PISD. Contract Term: Actual work to be performed and the schedule for performance under this solicitation will be upon the terms, conditions, and timelines agreed upon by PISD and the selected contractor. Time is of the essence for this project. All Work listed in the construction documents shall be substantially completed no later than August 12, 2025, the estimated project completion date.
