Winfield Township (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Winfield Road and Route 356 Signal Improvements The Project includes the following Work: The work generally consists of installing new traffic signals, mast arm poles, signal equipment, and pedestrian curb ramps at the intersection of Winfield Road and Route 356 in Winfield Township, Butler County, PA. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Winfield Road and Route 356 Signal Improvements. Prospective Bidders are urged to register online as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from online in either electronic or paper format. Digital Documents will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through online. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from online. Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act ('the Act') which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost for this project is greater than Twenty five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (RL. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (RL. 1042, No. 142).
