The Albany Parking Authority (Authority) is seeking qualified firms to install heated pedestrian sidewalks surrounding various Albany Parking Authority parking garages. Questions Submitted Not Later Than: May 27, 2024 at 2 p.m. Demolish existing concrete (stamped and unstamped), asphalt, and paver walkways to facilitate installation of heating elements (electric or fluid) with appropriate automated and manual control measures. Reinstall concrete (stamped and unstamped) and paver walkways with appropriate markings to disclose presence of underlying heating element. Control and power cabling will need to be in rigid conduits. Provide and install stainless-steel, removable bollards with a 4” diameter and 36” (exposed) height. Submittals should include the cost of all related work (E.G. -permitting, underground utility mark-outs, material disposal, trenching, conduit, sealant, expansion joints, cabling, testing equipment, inspections, and electrical work). All work should be completed in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. New walkways will be ADA compliant and include the use of truncated domes on crosswalk ramps when applicable. Provide and install stainless-steel, removable bollards with a 4” diameter and 36” (exposed) height where specified. These sections of walkway are spread across three locations: 1. Quackenbush Garage a. Demolish and remove existing concrete sidewalks, install heating elements with automated and manual controls, and replace concrete sidewalks. The new sidewalks should be protected by the application of a sealing compound. The total square footage is approximately 3,900 including 675 square feet of stamped concrete. b. Provide and install 12 (twelve) 4”x36” stainless steel removable bollards in specified areas on northern sidewalk
