There are lighting upgrades that will lower the electrical load. The drop ceiling grid will be lowered to cover existing conduit and piping. Bidders must be properly licensed for the work in accordance with Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. A 5% Bid Bond and 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required for this project. Bids may not be withdrawn or changed for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. E-Verify Requirements: This project requires the awarded vendor to comply with the requirements of E-Verify. (U.S. law requiring companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States - either U.S. citizens, or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization.) Minority businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The appropriate forms from the section entitled "Participation by Women and Minority Owned Businesses" must be submitted with each bid to show good faith efforts to obtain Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise participation.
