Concrete The City of Carrollton strongly encourages bidders to submit their responses electronically. Sealed bids may be submitted in person or by mail and done so in a sealed envelope or package and labeled with the company name, solicitation number, and title. Sealed bids will be received by the City of Carrollton at the address listed on the SHIP TO INFORMATION section below. Late bids will not be accepted. Any questions about the bid process/procedures may be obtained from the City of Carrollton's Purchasing Department at purchasing@cityofcarrollton.com. Bidders should carefully examine the Specification and other documents, visit the site of the work (if provided,) and fully inform themselves as to all conditions and matters which can in any way affect the work or costs thereof. Should a Bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from the drawings, specifications or other Contract Documents, or should Bidder be in doubt as to the meaning and intent, Bidder should notify the City at once and obtain clarification prior to submitting a bid. The submission of a bid by Bidder shall be conclusive evidence that the Bidder is fully acquainted and satisfied as to the character, quality and quantity of work to be performed and materials to be furnished. Intent The intent and purpose of this bid is to establish an as-needed contract for concrete materials for the City of Carrollton. The materials to be purchased from this bid request will be used for street projects and miscellaneous repairs. This bid has a budget of an estimated amount of $549,000. It shall be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in whole to a sole bidder, split the award between multiple bidders, or may choose not to award some or all items, depending on the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to request samples of products being bid prior to award of the bid. Term The successful vendor(s), shall provide all necessary road and highway building materials (nonasphaltic) on an as-needed basis for the City of Carrollton, for (1) full year term, with two (2) one-year renewal options, provided both parties agree.
