Demolition, site work and addition to a mixed-use development in Batavia, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a clubhouse / community center; for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; museum; museum; and museum.
A Bid Security in the form of a bid bond will be required in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The Contractor must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates for all work per Illinois Law. Questions and requests for bid documents shall be sent to: BEAR Construction Company (847) 222-7504 Dan Zivilik danz@bearcc.com For grants with an estimated total project cost of $500,000 or more, the grantee will be required to comply with the Illinois Works Apprenticeship Initiative (30 ILCS559/20-20 to 20-25) and all applicable administrative rules. The goal of the Illinois Apprenticeship Initiative is that apprentices will perform either 10% of the total labor hours actually worked in each prevailing wage classification or10% of the estimated labor hours in each prevailing wage classification, whichever is less. The Batavia Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts of thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the Park District.
