Reference Number 0000266486 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/03/27 05:00:00 PM EDT Question deadline date extended from 03/27/2024 to 0409/2024 05:00:00 PM EDT Contract Award: June 2024 The scope of work for this project is to construct the Grassy Narrows First Nation Mercury Care Home and Treatment Centre. The planned centre is intended to provide in-community care for mercury poisoning survivors through inpatient and outpatient programs, while providing First Nations culture centric environment, daily programming and treatment from primary care and allied health care practitioners. The following is a general list of scope items that are included within the project: Site Preparation: Clearing, grubbing, and grading of the construction site. Excavation for foundations and site utilities. Erosion control measures as specified in an erosion control plan. Foundations: Construction of concrete building foundations. Installation of foundation drainage systems. Structural Framework: Erection of the structural steel / mass timber framework. Construction of Floor, wall, and roof structure. Installation of load-bearing walls and columns. Exterior Envelope: Installation of roofing systems. Exterior wall construction and cladding. Window and door installation. Insulation and weatherproofing. Mechanical / Electrical Systems: Installation of Mechanical System. HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) installation. Plumbing system installation (including service hookups to Community Water and Wastewater systems). Electrical system installation, including wiring and lighting. Standby diesel fired genset. Coordination of propane for back up heat system. Coordination of site service with hydro and Bell. Proof of Insurance and Bonding: Provide confirmation of $5 Million Comprehensive Liability coverage as well as a letter of surety confirming availability of bonding following potential project award. Bonding requirements include a 50% performance bond and a 50% labour and materials bond. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com
