Site work for a mixed-use development in Alhambra, California. Design plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.

As of October 23, 2025, construction has not started. The project is still in the design phase. No general contractor has been selected yet. They anticipate going out to bid in early January 2026. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............ The City of Alhambra wishes to welcome you as a prospective proponent on one of its projects. It is the City's intention to provide you with thorough and complete information regarding this project and to present an accurate description of the necessary work so that you may successfully submit a proposal and execute the project. Submittal of your proposal assumes that you have made a thorough and complete investigation of the RFP and that you have discovered no apparent discrepancies. The City of Alhambra is part of the Upper Los Angeles River (ULAR) Watershed Management Group (WMG). The ULAR WMG is comprised of the cities of Los Angeles (lead coordinating agency), Alhambra, Burbank, Calabasas, Glendale, Hidden Hills, La Canada Flintridge, Montebello, Monterey Park, Pasadena, Rosemead, San Fernando, San Gabriel, San Marino, South El Monte, South Pasadena, and Temple City and the County of Los Angeles (Unincorporated County) and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District (LACFCD). By electing to comply with the optional compliance pathway in the MS4 Permit, the ULAR WMG has leveraged the Watershed Management Plan to facilitate a robust, comprehensive approach to stormwater management for the Los Angeles River watershed. This approach includes addressing the priority water quality conditions in the ULAR area and complying with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) requirements. In addition to the stormwater-related goals, the City is pursuing this Project with the added goals of maximizing community benefits including new recreation opportunities, reduction of heat island effect, increasing tree canopy, enhancing park space, and designing the Project with community-based input. The following list summarizes Project goals: o Increase water supply through groundwater recharge o Improve water quality o Maximize community benefits o Minimize disruption to residents and local businesses o Incorporate community-based input.
