**As of June 6 2024 project was awarded to Boulder Solutions but awarded amount is not available.** Boyce Park Climbing Walls Route Setting Services- - Remove and clean existing holds, design and install new climbing routes. -Additional Consulting or Repair Services. The Boyce Park Climbing Boulders facility features 6,059 sf of prefabricated boulder climbing walls ("boulder walls"), offered free of charge to the general public by the Allegheny County Department of Parks. There are seven (7) individual boulder walls constructed from panels that were designed and builty by WALLTOPIA (see appendix A for site map). Four (4) of the boulder walls are fabricated from composite material, comprising approximately 1,835 sf, and three (3) of them are fabricated with marine grade plywood, comprising approximately 4,224 sf. Typically, the boulder wall climbing routes will be reset twice per calendar year, in spring and fall. Potentially, additional resets could be required for special events or other unforseen circumstances. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2026 with one (1) option to renew for one (1) additional year. Question Deadline 04/01/2024 at 3:00 PM ET SCOPE OF WORK FOR EACH FACILITY-WIDE ROUTE RESET o Remove existing boulder wall holds. o Properly clean all holds with a powerwasher to remove dirt and residue and assure holds are safe and suitable to be re-used on the boulder walls o Set and install approximately 125 to 150 individual climbs, aka boulder problems, more or less evenly distributed over six (6) levels of difficulty, so approximately twenty-five climbs per difficulty level. Assure a professional standard of care for safety and user-experience expected in the artifical climbing wall industry. Holds must be securely fastened to boulder walls. For example, no spinning or movement of holds o Routes must be color-coded by hold color to reflect difficulty level. Sequence of difficulty, from easiest to most difficult, is as follows: o Green, blue, pink, yellow, black, red o Provide all required tools and materials to perform work (ie, ladders, drills, and cleaning equipment). Electricity and a water source will be available on-site. Holds, fasteners, and hardware are existing on-site, provided by County. 13% minority and 2% women business enterprise participation on all County contracts.
