This security is given as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a Contract with the Owner for the construction of this project, furnish satisfactory labor and materials, maintenance and performance bonds and insurance certificates within ten (10) days after notice of award, and in the event of failure to do so, shall pay to the Owner the sum of five percent (5%) of said bid as liquidated damages. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening date. Prior to signing the Contract, the Owner will require the successful Bidder to secure and post a Performance Bond, a Statutory Bond and a Maintenance Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum. These bonds shall be issued by Surety acceptable to the Owner and made payable to: Northeastern Health System. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities or minor irregularities in any bid, and to determine and select the lowest and best bid.
