Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Bakersfield, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.

License Requirements C21/HazMat 1. Work of this contract shall be done as shown on the Project Schedule included in the Bid Documents. Contractor shall include all mobilization and demobilization costs necessary to comply with the project schedule. 2. Each area of work must be manned continually as scheduled until this Bid Number/Bid Package portion of the work is complete so that work of other trades may proceed on schedule. 3. Provide all notifications, permits, submittals, equipment identification, materials, labor transportation, appliances, testing certification and security necessary for the execution of work in this Bid Number/Bid Package and as shown on the Drawings and Specifications. Prime contractor is responsible for securing all tools, equipment and stored materials until such materials are installed and accepted. 4. Provide notification at least 48 hours in advance of required observation for inspection. All inspection requests shall be scheduled through the Construction Manager superintendent. 5. Prime Contractor shall provide all closeout documents and requirements 30 days after being notified for such. If multiple requests are required, a Deductive Change Order will be issued to the contract amount of $100.00 per request. 6. All Contractors will be required to provide a list of employees of the Contractor and any subcontractor that the Contractor intends to use on the project. This list will be used by the Construction Manager to provide identification badges for all employees. Badges MUST be worn in plain view at all times employees are on the Owners property. Photo ID will be required for the badges. Foremen and superintendents for all tiers are to submit LiveScan results of DOJ fingerprinting. DOJ fingerprinting fees are the responsibility of the Prime Contractor or their subcontractors. 7. Provide all equipment, materials, labor and tools required to perform work of this Bid Number/Bid Package. 8. Provide temporary power (generators, cords, etc.) to perform work of this Bid Number. The Electrical contractor will provide a source of temporary power for use at buildings. Power supply may be limited at site locations. Prime contractors will be responsible for their own source of power where not available. 9. Provide temporary task lighting as needed to perform work of this Bid Number/Bid Package. 10. The Construction Manager will provide trash container(s) for general construction waste. Prime contractors generating construction waste such as gypsum board, wood, metal, and plaster will be responsible for containing materials onsite and legally disposing material offsite. Contractor shall separate and recycle construction waste. Contractor is to maintain records and provide them to the Construction Manager indicating how much solid waste was generated and how much of this was delivered to a recycling center. 11. Provide weekly removal of all construction materials, debris and waste generated by this Bid Number/Bid Package. 12. Provide traffic control flagmen, in front and behind, every truck, vehicle, piece of equipment, etc. on the project outside of construction fencing, whether on-site or off-site when any students or staff are on campus. This applies to contractor owned, operated, or supervised equipment, including delivery trucks or vehicles. 13. Some Scopes of Work overlap the Scopes of Work of other Contractors. This does not absolve either Contractor of their obligation to complete their scope of work. In all cases of dispute, the Owner and/or Construction Manager shall have the final decision as to responsibility, payment allocation and credits back to the Owner. Liquidated Damages $1,000.00 per calendar day Start/Delivery Date June 3, 2024 Project Duration 457 calendar days Selective demolition and abatement Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6, prequalification of the prime contractor (bidder), and of its mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) subcontractors (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and C-46), is required for the bidder to submit a bid on this project. Prospective bidders and their MEP subcontractors (1) are required to submit to the Owner a completed prequalification questionnaire and financial statement, on forms provided by the Owner, no later than ten business days prior to the date fixed for the public opening of sealed bids, and (2) must be announced as prequalified no later than five business days prior to the date fixed for the public opening of sealed bids.
