Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Chester Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Chester Township Police Station Renovations - The scope of work includes interior and exterior improvements that will consist of painting, ceiling grid, block walls for evidence room, floor tiles, garage door improvements, concrete sidewalk, office furniture and other incidental improvements. Bidders are required to submit a surety in the form of a bond or equivalent meeting 10% of the overall bid price in compliance with the contract documents. Bid bonds will be returned to the non-awarded bidders upon the execution of the contract. The successful Bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. Simultaneously with his/her delivery of the executed contract, the Contractor shall furnish a surety bond or bonds as security for faithful performance of this contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor on the project under this contract and furnishing materials in connection with this contract, as specified in the General Conditions included herein. The surety on such bond or bonds shall be a duly authorized surety company satisfactory to the Owner. The bond shall be for 100 percent of the contract price. A Payment Bond and Performance Bond are required. Attorneys-in-fact who sign bid bonds or contract bonds must file with each bond a certified and effectively dated copy of their power of attorney. Under certain conditions, and within the limits of State and local laws and regulations, the Owner may waive the requirement that the Payment and Performance Bond be underwritten by a surety company and may authorize in lieu thereof, a personal bond backed by a letter of credit from a local lending institution for the full value of the Contract. The bidders are made aware that the project is subject to PA Prevailing Wage Requirements. Bidder hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or after a date to be specified in written "Notice to Proceed" of the Owner and to fully complete the project within 120 consecutive calendar days thereafter as stipulated in the specifications, Bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $ for each consecutive calendar day thereafter The contract documents contain all pertinent regulations. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any portion of any bid, and to award contracts as is deemed best for the Township.
