Reference Number 0000346397 The City of Southfield is soliciting bids from qualified companies to renovate the jail facility located in the Police Department Building in accordance with the attached specifications, product listing, and floor plan (not to scale). In general, the project consists of finalizing the design and building out the project area. Pricing is also being requested for a bathroom remodel as a separate option. The successful company will be required to enter into a contract and provide bonds and insurance acceptable to the City. Copies of these requirements have been provided for review. All bidders must include a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount with their response. Scope of Work - The selected Design/Build contractor will provide final design and construction services for the entire project. Remove and replace flooring. 5.3.3. Repair and paint walls. 5.3.4. Remove and replace bench seating constructed of solid metal or like material and must be bolted to the floor. 5.3.5. Remove existing ceiling tiles and replace with similar tiles. Paint existing tile grid; color TBD. 5.4. Booking Area 5.4.1. Remove and replace flooring. 5.4.2. Repair and paint walls. 5.4.3. Fabricate and install standing workstation. A metal workstation is preferred and must be bolted to the floor. 5.4.4. Remove existing ceiling tiles and replace with similar tiles. Paint existing tile grid; color TBD. 5.5. Control Room 5.5.1. Partial demolition of Command Center workstation; fabricate and install new workstation. 5.5.2. Remove cabinetry for monitors. 5.5.3.
