Site work for a transportation facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
This project will include a new 10,000-foot-long by 150-foot-wide runway. It will be to the west of Runway 18C/36C. As of March 14, 2025, construction work has begun. Grading will take place through mid-2026. The project will be completed and opened by the fall of 2027. Charlotte Douglas International Airport Mecklenburg County Construct Fourth Parallel Runway. County : Mecklenburg Division : 10 Let Type - NON - DOT LET (LAP) As of March 19, 2024, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting date is 2024-08-17.
