Site work for a civil project in Painesville, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work covered by the plans and specifications includes: storm piping and structures, linear grading and ditch excavation, erosion control installation and maintenance, stabilization/restoration, etc. This project will consist of the removal and replacement of three existing storm sewer crossovers and accompanying drainage structures as well as approximately 830 linear feet of ditch improvements on Wintergreen Hill. The scope of work will include the removal and replacement of three storm sewer crossovers whose pipe sizes range from 12" to 15" with headwalls at the downstream ends. Existing storm sewer structures will be removed and replaced with precast catch basins or manholes as indicated on the plans. Rock outlet protection will be installed at the discharging ends of the newly installed pipes and slush grouted to interlock the rocks together. Additionally, the ditch around Wintergreen Hill will be improved by removing existing concrete slabs within the ditch and disposing of it properly. The ditch will be restored and alignment adjusted as indicated on the plans to provide an adequate berm between the roadway and ditch. Work shall include all necessary clearing/grubbing, erosion controls, and restoration. . e bid must be accompanied by an original sealed document in the form of a bond for the full amount (100%) of the bid, OR by a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, drawn on a solvent bank located in Lake County and payable to the Treasurer of Lake County, Ohio, as surety that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. Should any bid be rejected said surety shall forthwith be returned to the bidder and should any bid be accepted such bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit will be returned to the bidder upon proper execution and securing of the contract. Proposals shall be subject to the conditions that the right is reserved to hold bids for a period not longer than sixty (60) days after date of bid opening and/or to award the contract at any time during said period. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to increase or decrease or omit any item or items and/or to award to the lowest and/or best bidder. Each proposal must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same. All work under this contract shall be completed by June 14th, 2024. PAYMENT FOR PACKAGES AND ADDITIONAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATION BOOKS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
