Renovation of a library in Saint-Jerome, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 38,900-square-foot, two-story above grade library.
Modernization and redevelopment of the existing building for the creation of a Central Library of the City. The new facility will house premises of the Marie-Antoinette-Foucher library currently located in the Claude-Henri-Grignon House of Culture and the Charles-E.-Garneau library located in Galeries des Laurentides. The building will also house a citizens' centre, a social innovation centre, training spaces for new technologies, as well as a digital creation space. TIMELINE: The project is preliminary and is included into the current owner's three-year capital expenditure program. A functional and technical program of the project prepared by the professional consultant awarded following the request for proposals 2024-135-HP has been submitted to the owner and is under review. According the owner's preliminary scheduling design of the project is expected to begin in mid-/late 2026. Scope of work, project budget and timelines of the project implementation are being finalized.
