Site work and paving for a road / highway in Isle of Wight, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of May 23,2024, project was awarded to Slurry Pavers, Inc, awarded amount is $619,269.16. Isle of Wight County is requesting sealed bids from qualified Contractors to provide asphalt paving services for various locations. The project consists of full depth pavement reconstruction for small areas, creating paved swales, repairing 5 LF of broken CG-6, cleaning and filling all cracks in asphalt pavement, then seal coating of existing pavement. Note: cracks greater than 1/8" to be filled/sealed with Type B emulsion. All locations involved in this paving project shall be done in accordance with the VDOT 2020 Road and Bridge Specifications. All materials used shall be from the VDOT pre-approved list and the Contractor is to provide documentation of materials sourcing and tracking. It is the Contractor's responsibility to take measurements of paving locations. Questions concerning this project must be in writing and addressed to ewishall@isleofwightus.net and must be received no later than 3:00 pm, March 29, 2024. The right is reserved to revise or amend these specifications prior to the date set for receipt of bids as may be required by the County. That date may be delayed if deemed necessary by the County. Any revisions and/or amendments will be in the form of an addendum to this document.
