Isle of Wight County is soliciting sealed bids from qualified firms to establish a contract through competitive sealed bidding for Gwaltney Way Street Trees. This is for the purchase and planting of 96 street trees (Acer Rubrum/Autumn Flame - Red Maple). The work shall be done in accordance with the approved road plans and VDOT spec. section 605 “Planting.” The project requires performance bonding, a one-year warranty, and water and weeding for up to 6 months after planting. This landscaping project is part of a road extension nearing completion within Shirley T. Holland Intermodal Park. All work will occur on public property and the work area is available for independent access. The Bidder is required to be familiar with the site conditions prior to submitting a bid. The County requires all work to be substantially complete within 30 days of notice to proceed. Refer to Bid Documents for Contract Time reference. Final completion shall be 10 days after substantial completion. Deadline for complete installation is April 15, 2026.
